Well, I haven't "blogged" for a long long time... so much to catch up on, so much to write.... however I could just say "fuck it" and start from here, which will probably be the avenue of choice here... hey, it's my blog, I can do what I want :-)
Anyways, the biggest news around our parts is the massive forest fires that have been surrounding our communities. I work about 50 miles from where I live so I commute (all you people from the cities will laugh at my commute, however it is a 40 minute drive) so I am not in the evacuation areas but the constant smoke in the valley is a reminder that our tinder dry forests are simply the best fuel for fire and of course, the daily winds do not help. My own personal news is pretty boring compared to the fires, we are just settling into the new home, no pictures yet, I still have to find all the parts to my camera.. I know it is in a box somewhere, just don't know which one. It is nice to finally be part of a neighbourhood again, I try to walk every evening and I am discovering that the place I live is quite a bit nicer than I first though. I have driven through the neighbourhood countless times but never walked through, it surprises me to notice all the little details one misses while whizzing by in a car... life is fast. I think we should all just slow down the pace a bit and breathe..... it feels good.
